The ninth Kunming Forum on Education Cooperation in South and Southeast Asia has opened in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province. More than 260 representatives from over 50 universities and education departments from China and countries in South Asia, Southeast Asia and Europe, are attending. Under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, or R-CEP framework, participants are exploring ways to strengthen collaboration in higher and vocational education, scientific research and digital learning. The forum features academic conferences and student cultural and sports exchanges. Chinese universities and their regional counterparts have also signed cooperation agreements at the forum.
