the alumni association of kunming university of science and technology (aakust), a registered non-government organization, was established when kunming university of science and technology (kust) celebrated its 40^th anniversary in september 1994.

 

in accordance with the constitution of aakust, the alumni of kust include all students, part-time professors, guest professors, honorary professors, the staffs who ever graduated, worked or are working in the following schools, institutes or universities: the engineering major, science and technology major，institute of technology of donglu university and yunnan university, kunhua advanced polytechnic vocational school, yunnan first polytechnic school, yunnan third polytechnic school, kunming institute of technology, yunnan institute of technology, yunnan chemical academy, kunming branch institute of chongqing architectural engineering institute, kunming branch of chengdu university of electronic technology, kunming university of science and technology, yunnan polytechnic university. the alumni also include organization members, such as volunteer-founded social organizations with the feature of united and non-profit.

 

the tenet of aakust is that, observing the constitution, law and statute, following the social morality, enhancing the contact between kust and the domestic and overseas alumni, uniting and cooperating with the alumni, furthering the academic exchange, promoting the construction and prosperity of kust, and devoting to the state modernization.
